Chrysalis East Summer Schools
If you have received a letter from your school or an email invitation to a Chrysalis East Summer School, this page will give you all the information you need about it, and how to sign up.
Background
LAET is an academically selective sixth form located next to our business sponsor, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
The Chrysalis East Programme exists to support better access to our sixth form from the local Tottenham community. It is centred around core subject attainment, academic enrichment, university preparation and career guidance and is generously funded by Rokos Capital Management. You can read more about the project here.
The Chrysalis East Summer School
The Chrysalis East Summer School programme is one that we hope students gain various things from:
- Experience of sixth form life.
- Life skills.
- Inspiration for future career opportunities.
- Meet new people.
- Boost confidence.

How?
- The Chrysalis East Summer School exists as an immersive learning experience for students and is designed to expose students to new academic challenges in a fun learning environment.
- Our summer schools offer a range of opportunities to take part in science experiments such as dissections, geode breaking, forensics, creative writing workshops, self-defence career workshops, and other activities to encourage students to make new friends, boost confidence, and develop life skills.
- Each Summer School culminates with a trip to celebrate the end of the Summer School. In previous years, we did a tour of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a trip to Go Ape, and a trip to The Science Museum.
