Finance Careers Pathway Launch

This pathway is designed for students interested in the finance sector who are eager to learn more about the industry while gaining first-hand insights from our partner companies: Deloitte, Texel, and Allianz Global Investors.

The launch event featured a panel session that provided valuable insights into various finance roles and gave students a fantastic opportunity to network directly with the panellists. The panel included David Newman, Chief Investment Officer and Head of Global High Yield at Allianz Global Investors, Blessing Uche, Senior Risk Consultant at Deloitte, who introduced Deloitte’s upcoming workshops designed to help students develop teamwork and coaching skills, and Aisha El-Telbani, Broker at The Texel Group.

We were also joined by alumni Toni (2018-2020 cohort), now a Client Account Manager at Allianz Global Investors, and Nikol (2018-2020 cohort), now a Broker at Texel. Both shared their experiences as former LAET students who actively engaged with career opportunities at the school and have since found success in their roles.

During the event, Allianz Global Investors also launched their annual work experience competition, which Toni had previously won before securing her role at the company.

We’re excited to see how our students engage with this pathway and look forward to our next event, which will focus on careers in law.
