Young Musician Competition 2025

LAET musicians Deniol and Maria performed amongst their Highgate peers at the prestigious Young Musician Competition 2025.

Last week, Senior School pupils from Highgate School gathered at St Michael’s Church for the annual Young Musician of the Year competition, held in partnership with LAET.

Two standout LAET performers, Deiniol and Maria, captivated the audience.

*Deiniol and Maria are seasoned performers, having recently entertained audiences at the LAET Live Winter Concert and performing at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium!*

Stuart King, Head of Woodwind and Percussion, stated: "It was wonderful to welcome Deiniol and Maria from LAET; two very engaging and exciting artists. Deiniol wrote and performed his own rap tracks...a welcome new discipline to the competition format and one that proved to be very popular on the night.”"
